Our Training and Development

We simply wouldn't be who we are without our people. That's why, your personal development matters to us.

From the moment you walk through our door and are introduced to your colleagues, we are committed to your development.

  • No matter what business you join in Rentokil Initial your career will begin with an induction programme that introduces you to the business and guides you through the first few weeks.
  • From then on, we’ll work with you at every stage of your career. Supporting you as you take ownership of where you want to go and what you want to learn.
  • Our technical and sales academies provide industry standard training to help you become the expert in your role.
  • And because we know what might be right for you now might not be right in a few years time, there are plenty of opportunities to move across the businesses as well as up through our Aspiring Everything programmes.

In a nutshell, the opportunities are endless if you are willing to work hard and put in the effort.

Maintaining the highest standards of technical training

Our UK operations deliver over 4,000 days of technical and sales training, including online and practical in-field elements.

At The Power Centre, we have three classrooms and seven scenario training rooms to match the environments in which our technicians work. Our expertise, facilities and on-site scientific support make The Power Centre the industry’s best training facility in Europe.

Online training supplements our technical and skills training. Rentokil Initial colleagues completed 337,785 items of online training last year and we created over 300 courses and videos around topics such as sales, technical and operational best practice.

Apprenticeship Programme

A love of learning is part of everyday life at Rentokil Initial and our twelve-month customer service practitioner apprenticeship programme provides learners with a wide-scope of training including, on the job, classroom-based and e-learning.

This learning is supported and guided by our in-house mentors, who work with our apprentices throughout their apprenticeship programme.

To ensure programme quality is maintained, audits are scheduled from Ofsted, the UK’s education standards authority.
