Our Service Drivers are the face of our businesses. No two days are ever the same and you are the key point of contact for our customers within a specific geographical area delivering a wide range of our services. We are the experts in what we do and our Service Drivers play a key part in this.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys being on the road, driving and meeting new people, someone who plans their own days and likes to get a job done well. Our Service Drivers do a lot of driving, loading and unloading, so although you don’t need to be athletes please be aware that this can be a physically tiring role.
At Rentokil Initial we recognise that our frontline colleagues are at the share end of customer service delivery and as a result we pride ourselves on recruiting the right people, training them properly and looking after them.

When you join as a service driver in one of our businesses you will develop your skills and experience in a number of ways:
On the Job
The majority of what you learn will be from trying new tasks, meeting new people and just 'giving it a go'. Even if you don’t get it right first time, you'll certainly have learned something and can apply this next time.
E learning
Available to you 24-hours a day we have a selection of topics that can help you get to grips with your new role. E-learning is quick, easy and there when you need it on laptop, mobile & tablet.
Classroom Training
Usually at one of our bespoke technical training academy along with your colleagues you'll get the opportunity to learn, experience, reflect and develop new skills to help you on your path to success.
Team Meetings
Regular training sessions take place at your team communication meetings.
You must have good physical stamina and the ability to lift, load, and unload hygiene units and floor mats. The role involves frequent manual handling of products such as nappy bins and soap dispensers, alongside repetitive bending and stretching. You should be comfortable navigating various customer environments and entering or exiting a commercial vehicle multiple times a day.
You must hold a valid, full manual driving licence for at least two years with no more than six penalty points. While you do not need a vocational HGV licence, you must be confident driving a commercial van responsibly and following "Drive Smart" safety guidance. You should also be comfortable managing your own daily route and schedule independently.
A Service Driver visits various customer sites to service washrooms and medical products, including feminine hygiene units, air fresheners, and floor mats. Key duties include loading and unloading units, maintaining your vehicle to safe standards, and providing exceptional customer service. You are also responsible for recording services and can earn additional commission by identifying new sales leads.
Service Drivers typically work a 40-hour week, usually from Monday to Friday. While core hours are stable, there is potential for increased hours (up to 48 hours per week) to meet business needs, which comes with a higher salary. Voluntary overtime can also be available for those looking to increase their earnings.
Service Drivers start with a basic salary of £26,655 per annum, with expected On-Target Earnings (OTE) of approximately £27,500 including bonuses and commission. The package includes a company vehicle, fuel card, and access to "RI Rewards" for retail discounts. Salaries can increase further through a performance-linked grading system and opportunities for overtime, and a refer-a-friend scheme worth up to £1,000.
