• What do you do all day? - As the Area Operations Manager for Peter Cox and Rentokil Property Care in the North-East, I work hard, coaching staff in multiple branches, developing myself through setting my own challenges and making use of training courses in the company, mentoring other colleagues in the business and putting out metaphorical fires!

  • What do you love about your job? - I love coaching and developing members of my different teams. There is nothing more satisfying than mentoring a colleague and then watching them become a bigger asset to your team.

  • Talk us through your career so far - I started for Rentokil Initial as a Sales Surveyor with Peter Cox, having previously worked for a much smaller family-run preservation company. I wanted to progress and work for a really strong, dependable organisation. I progressed to Branch Manager after just two years with Rentokil Initial and received another promotion to Area Operations Manager after another 12 months, not without the odd bump in the road, of course!

  • Where do you want to go from here? - I am new into my role and I’m enjoying it. I plan to continue in this role for a number of years to build up my knowledge and gain valuable on-the-job experience in management.

  • What makes you a Rentokil Initial person? - I always want the best for my people - the colleagues that report into me and the customers that we serve!

  • What advice would you give to people joining our business? - If you are ready to go above and beyond for your team and show desire to be the best at what you do then you will be successful at Rentokil Initial.
