Our Award winning Sales Academy and Technical Academy, led by top industry experts, effectively develop our front line teams and build high-performing, motivated, engaged and enabled experts, many of whom join us without any previous experience. This is underpinned by our structured development process, enabling colleagues to achieve the targets of the organisation, but also strive to be better and better.

Our 6 Week Sales Academy Programme

To kick start your dynamic career with Rentokil Initial, we begin with a six week programme equipped with all you need to hit the ground running from the start and become a successful salesperson.

Consisting of technical and sales content, the academy takes place in one of our training centres. A fun and challenging environment where you’ll be expected to show your potential and willingness to learn alongside other new sales colleagues from all our different businesses. The days when you won’t be in the classroom with your new peers, you’ll be out in the field with other colleagues getting hands on experience and a real feel for your role.
From day one we immerse you into the Rentokil Initial family, bringing in representatives from each business and department to present an overview of the different industries we operate in, giving you a feel of what life is like being a Rentokil Initial team member.
Over the course of six weeks you will learn the much needed technical skills for your business area covering our products, services and processes. You will also be taught specific and unique sales and customer relations skills such as overcoming objections and successfully closing a sale.

The Technical Academy

In the RI businesses when we say expert we mean “expert” and we invest in all colleagues to make sure the expertise gets through to our customers. Our aim is to work with you to turn jobs into professions and make sure we meet your personal development needs.

We have an in-house Technical Academy that has supported all our businesses for over 5 years, delivering over 6000 training days per annum. All of our businesses have a 3rd party accredited qualification, following a process of monitored and recorded continual professional development. These qualifications are linked directly into our grading systems so the more that you learn the more you can earn through our structured grading process and regular technical performance assessments.
The aim of our Technical Academy is simply to create the highest qualified team in the industry, driven by a real passion for learning and development.
Our courses are run in-house by our own training organisation, delivering technical knowledge and expertise to our colleagues, ensuring you have the right skills to deliver world class service to our customers.  Our learning models are practical – hands on – and aim to make the whole experience enjoyable as well as informative. We run classroom, field based and customer based experiences – this is not about powerpoint to snooze through!

E-Learning: Our Unique Online Learning Platform

To complement our training academies we have launched a brand new training approach for all colleagues. Short modules which can be accessed through smartphone and tablet designed to be completed at a time to suit you and the business and demonstrating our commitment to continuous development.
