The ‘Together’ Bonus Scheme

Our businesses have a strong performance based culture with clear customer service metrics at their core and colleagues at all levels have the opportunity to earn more and increase their take home pay based on enhanced performance. We call the scheme for technicians and support colleagues “Together ” as success is only possible with our personal efforts, that of our team within RI and “Together” with our customers. ALL technicians and support colleagues within ALL of our businesses are included in these schemes as we can only deliver outstanding performance by working “TOGETHER”.

The Together scheme is a bonus scheme that rewards those who perform well against the Service metrics and deliver measured excellent service to our customers plus generate revenue for the Business by solving these customer needs.

It is Quarterly-based with an annual payout amount of circa 15% of salary. The scheme is partly based on the individual performance and partly based on overall team performance.  Its our way of ensuring that colleagues benefit financially from the success of the Company by delivering great service for the customers.

Local teams enjoy activities including go-karting and clay pigeon shooting where you and the team will get the opportunity to not only bond, but where you can also enjoy some healthy competition.

Twice a year we run foreign destination incentives for the top individuals or top teams. This includes our sales, service and all support functions. Do you fancy Real Madrid for the football tour? Skiing down the slopes? We have been to Madrid, Helsinki, Oslo and and many other European capitals.

You get great accommodation, great food, great events and great company…the trip of a lifetime for most people but not for our high achievers!

Once a year it’s the big one. You could be on a yacht in Miami, shopping in New York or a helicopter ride over Niagra Falls. No, not the honeymoon these are the destinations our achievers have gone over the last few years.

Saying thank you is an old fashioned custom we’ve never grown out of…

Guild of Technicians

The Guild of Technicians is an annual award ceremony open to technicians from all businesses to recognise the achievements of our top performers. It is a performance gateway based Guild so anyone who hits the criteria is invited to the event and over the past 3 years more and more technicians have won a place on the Guild.

In 2015 over 100 Pest technicians went to “Hotel Football” in Manchester for the Award Ceremony with Phill Wood and Dave Hall…and Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville. The year before we were at St Georges England training venue with Kevin Keegan. The qualification metrics for all businesses are around sales leads and customer service – and it is a true celebration of the best performing technicians on the Island.

Long Service and Retirement

According to our employees, RI’s loyalty to colleagues is one of our best qualities – well the feeling is mutual. We have an established long service scheme which recognises service from 5 years to 40 years with special recognition which can include a personal letter from the Managing Director, additional holidays or gift vouchers to spend on a treat for yourself.

Recommend a Friend

We know that our colleagues want to do the best job that they can and that’s why we operate a recommend a friend scheme where all colleagues can recommend their friends to come and work for us across any of our businesses. If a colleague recommends someone they know who will work hard and deliver great customer service they can earn £500!

Your Voice Counts

At RI when we say your voice counts we actually mean it. Every year we carry out an online engagement survey where every employee has an opportunity to complete a questionnaire covering a wide range of topics where colleague engagement and enablement are key themes. Engagement covers aspects such as colleagues’ pride, advocacy, motivation and loyalty. Enablement measures the extent to which colleagues feel their role and work environment allows them to perform at their best.

Each manager then receives a specific report based on the responses from their people and our colleagues then participate in the action planning process. Based on the feedback from YVC we have made some significant changes based on to improve the overall environment for both our colleagues and customers.
